2007 Indy International Wine Competition

For Immediate Release – July 30, 2007: Yellow Rose Scores Big Recognition

Our Yellow Rose wine was just awarded a Silver medal in one of the nations largest wine competitions. Only three wines received a higher medal than Landon Winerys Yellow Rose in its fruit wine category. The Indy International Wine Competition holds the distinction of being the largest fruit wine competition.

As one of the largest and comprehensive competitions in the western hemisphere, the Indy International brought in nearly 3,300 wines from 17 countries. Seventy judges traveled from across North America to review approximately 120 wines a day based on appearance, aroma, taste and aftertaste. Judges receive the wines in numbered glasses, lessening the chance of recognizing a wine by its bottle and label art.

“Yellow Rose is our number one selling white wine and it is a perfect summer wine. I am very pleased that it scored so well in this prestigious competition.” Bob Landon, President & Vintner of Landon Winery.

Landon Winery is an award-winning winery located in historic downtown McKinney, Texas.
